Prior to building CommsGrid, we completed an extensive user research exercise with multiple internal communications professionals to ensure CommsGrid would solve real problems and fulfil real needs.
We commissioned research from our partner and sister company, Invuse, who worked with Internal Communications specialists from a wide variety of organisations including Arcadis, the BBC, the Department of Transport, the London Borough of Merton, Aviva, Nature Scot and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Feedback from these experts revealed that within internal communications there was a need for a central tool, which allowed for “Cradle to grave – planning, scheduling, measurement”.
Using the findings from our research we have been able to build the first version of CommsGrid, prioritising the functionality our experts felt was most important to their needs and demands. As the product builds, we are looking to involve even more internal communicators in the evolution of CommsGrid, to ensure it is at the heart of internal communications for all organisations.
CommsGrid removes the need to manipulate tools that are lacking in key functionality and are not fit for the purpose of driving Internal Communications.
Save time updating and maintaining multiple spreadsheets by managing Internal Communications calendars, assigning tasks and deadlines, and tracking progress with CommsGrid.
CommsGrid gives you an overview of all of the messages delivered to all of your audiences, across all of your platforms, helping you to inform, connect and engage with your people.

CommsGrid was a natural progression for our team, having dominated in the UK public service digital communications industry for over 10 years, supplying intranet and portal solutions as Invotra for 47% of UK Civil Servants. Invotra provides services for organisations such as the Home Office, Department for Work and Pensions and Department for Transport, as well as the NHS, local authorities and ALBs.
Supporting organisations with employees ranging from 35 through to 100,000+, we have extensive experience in understanding the digital communications landscape and identified a gap in the market for a one stop shop tool that would allow internal communications professionals to finally say goodbye to those not-quite-fit-for-purpose spreadsheets.
CommsGrid is around 5 weeks away from a Beta launch. CommsGrid is at the beginning of its journey which is why we need you to help us build the features and experience that will make this a gamechanger for Internal Communications teams and individuals in 2023.
